Description:
The unofficial flag consists of three horizontal stripes, the upper and lower stipes are blue and the middle stripe white.The color white symbolizes the coral, while the color blue refers to the surrounding ocean. Central on the flag are a bird and four stars. The bird represent the United States AirForce and the United States Fish and Wildlife Service, administrators of the territory. The four stars represent Johnston Island, Akau Island Hikina Island and Sand Island.
